01G blue Lightning Wins 2013 CYSA State Cup

Congratulations to Coach Pablo and Palo Alto 01G Blue Lightning on winning the 2013 U12 Girls Cal North State Championship (“CYSA State Cup”) in the premier division held in Elk Grove, CA.

After a tough preliminary round, Blue Lightning went on to win their semi-final game against Foothill SASC Phoenix 1-0. The championship game on March 10h against the Ceres Earthquakes couldn’t have been more exciting. After a strong performance, the scores were tied at the end of regulation and extra time. The girls emerged victorious after a nail-biting penalty shoot out – a well deserved win for a team of strong competitors with a wonderful spirit of camaraderie!
