OVERVIEW:

The mission and vision for our comprehensive college placement program for SVSA is to streamline college access pathways for all academy players as they move up the age groups. Our goal is to have 100% college placement options for all athletes.

Model and Approach:

  1. Guidance: Consistently implement a clear and uniform pathway for players and families to navigate the recruitment process, resources to streamline our approach and support to ensure consistent progress

  2. Structure: Provide clear structures and systems to maximize exposure for academic and athletic support services for our college bound athletes

  3. Education: Inform our players and families on timelines for the college process, changes in the NCAA recruiting requirements and eligibility

Appropriate College Access

Silicon Valley Soccer Academy Players represent a unique opportunity to dominate regional college commitments and post youth soccer opportunities to Bay Area soccer players. College Support is not one size fits all and the program SVSA receives needs to understand the diversity of athletes, school experience and post secondary goals of ALL of its athletes and families, as SVSA draws from the greater Bay Area.

The technical and tactical approach SVSA brings to player development along with the series of varied but typical academic profiles of SVSA players will create a strong recognizable “profile” of the SVSA student athlete. Once these profiles are identified they will be used to establish predictable and consistent connections between the SVSA program and college programs that fit the needs and optimize the college soccer opportunity for our players.

Outcomes of this program will consist of but not be limited to:

  1. Increased college awareness of SVSA Families

  2. Increased understanding of the financial aid opportunities available

  3. Increased number of players from SVSA going to 4 year college programs

  4. Increased exposure for the SVSA technical and tactical approach to the game
